World of Warcraft: Cataclysm New Race

Blizzard’s much latest and much anticipated expansion to the World of Warcraft universe promises a lot of new things and experiences for gamers. With World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, new race classes, higher leveling caps, new races, new places and new items are going to bring gamers to a whole new level of experience.

There are two new races that come with the Cataclysm expansion pack, one new race for the alliance and one new race for the horde. These two races offer a lot of new things to the game and will surely change the way gamers play World of Warcraft. The new races were carefully developed and designed ensuring that they are balanced to other characters while giving a new gaming experience to those that choose to handle them. These new character races are sure to excite and entertain gamers.

The Alliance’s new race is the Worgen, a feral wolf beast that is feared throughout the land. They both have a human form and the feral worgen form. Players can choose to play their Worgen character as one of the following classes, death knight, druid, warrior, hunter, mage, priest, rogue, or warlock. In the first 5 levels, a Worgen character starts in its human form. At these levels, the character is basically still a human. However once the character reaches the higher levels, they will then be transformed into a Worgen. The Worgen form can be maintained whether in or out of combat. But as soon as the character enters combat mode, the character will automatically assume the Worgen form. The character classes that the race can play are based upon the lore surrounding it. For example, Worgens can be a druid, warrior, hunter, priest, or rogue as these would have been the character’s class as a human and before they turned into a Worgen. The druid class comes from the lore that Worgens were made by Night Elf druids and the death knight class belongs to the Worgens who were used as slaves by both Arugal and the Lich King.

 

Cataclysm Goblin classes – the new Horde race

The newest race for the Horde on the other hand is the Goblin. The Goblin is originally the slaves of the trolls and was made to mine in Mount Kajaro. Through time, the Goblins became intelligent and masters of engineering and eventually overthrew their troll masters and made Mount Kajaro their home land. Goblins are masters of invention and commerce. Originally straddling the fence and selling their wares and goods to both the Horde and the Alliance, Goblins have recently cut off ties with the Alliance due to unfair trading incidents. Goblin race classes are death knight, hunter, mage, priest, rogue, shaman, warlock and warrior. Goblins are great at a lot of things and have special abilities that are only inherent to their race.

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm is sure to become one of the biggest games of the year. Aside from the Cataclysm new race, gamers will be excited about the higher level cap as well as the new classes that are available to all the races.
