What do I need?

 

In order to start mining you should first have the most important and basic tool, the mining pick. You can usually purchase this at any vendor more commonly located near your mining trainer. It is sually sold by either your mining supplies or trade goods vendor.                   

 

Another thing that you need is “Finding Minerals” ability in order to detect the veins. When your ability is turned on, all veins will turn as yellow dots in the mini map. These veins are most commonly found at the foot of the mountains or hills. Tin and Copper veins are most common on all starting classes to be found.

 

What are my other benefits?

 

With mining you also get the ability called Smelting. Through this ability you will be able to convert all the ores you collected with mining into metal bars. You could also use the different stones and even valuable gems that you acquired through the way. But be careful to check first the prices your gathered ores against the price of your smelted bars. Usually the ore cores have a higher market value because it can still be converted to skills.

 

 

What professions go with each other?

                       

As said before, mining could go well with blacksmithing, jewelcrafting and engineering because they all need miners to collect for them their raw materials. Have two professions is your option but it always easier to have two in order to complete one level quickly and jump to the next one. Herbalism could also be a good partner of mining because you are assured that you will get a lot of gold. It is easier because you only have to collect herbs and ores throughout the level in order to gain gold and both of these are usually found lying next to each other in a level.

 

What else could I get with mining?

                       

Aside from those mentioned above, there are still a lot of benefits that you could get with mining. It is a certified moneymaking and useful profession. If you are in need of more hit points, mining is your choice. It also gives a special passive skill that is called Toughness. Stamina would be added to you once you possess this skill. When you are leveling Mining and hit level 450, 50 stamina would be added to you as a bonus. Isn’t that just great? Mining is also the profession that majority of classes choose because of its usefulness and practicality.
